Served as Section Chief of Ophthalmology at Forsyth Medical Center and President of Medical Executive Committee of Hawthorne Surgical Center
Graduated Medical School in 1994 from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC
Completed Residency in 1998 from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN
Dr. Nagy joined the practice with Dr. Charles Tara in 2002. He resides in Winston-Salem with his family and enjoys tennis and golf.
He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
Dr. Nagy specializes in cataracts, lens implant surgery, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as, general eye exams.
CHRISTOPHER COVINGTON, D.O.
Graduated from Medical School in 2005 from the University of Medicine and Bioscience in Kansas City, MO
Completed Residency in 2009 from Detroit Osteopathic Ophthalmology Consortium (Affiliated with Michigan State University), Detroit, MI
Dr. Covington joined Hawthorne Eye Associates in July 2009. He resides in Winston-Salem with his family and is enjoying the opportunity to work on his tennis skills since finishing medical school.
He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic College of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Covington specializes in cataracts, lens implant surgery, glaucoma, and diabetic eye disease, as well as, general eye exams.
BONNIE E. AIKEN, O.D.
Graduated from Optometry School in 1991 from University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine, Birmingham, AL
Completed Ocular Disease Residency in 1992 from Omega/Vision America, Nashville, TN
Dr. Aiken joined the practice in 1999. She resides in Davie County with her husband and enjoys working in church ministry mentoring teens and young adults, as well as, participating in mission trips overseas to provide eye care for patients in third world countries.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina State Optometric Society and served five years as a clinical examiner for the North Carolina Board of Examiners in Optometry.
Dr. Aiken specializes in ocular disease, glaucoma, general eye exams and contact lens fittings.
